Cascade Business News: Designing the Office of the Future to Promote Inclusivity & Retain Top Talent

October 9, 2025

LRS Architects is proud to share that Amalia Mohr, Principal and Senior Interior Designer, and Jenny Baines, Senior Interior Designer, were recently featured in Cascade Business News providing insights into the latest office design trends to retain top talent, as we wrap up the year and look ahead to 2026. Designing with neurodiversity is at the forefront of workplace design. Hybrid work and growing awareness around neurodiversity have made it clear that one-size-fits-all offices no longer meet employees’ needs. This shift from designing the “standard office” to one supporting focus, collaboration, and well-being for all kinds of thinkers is driven by research, client demand, and changing corporate culture.

Clients want to design for inclusion and are acknowledging that when workplaces prioritize psychological safety and cognitive inclusion they “foster diverse thinking, stimulate creative solutions, and help companies innovate and stay ahead of the competition.” Amalia and Jenny discuss some of the top design trends to help create a more inclusive workplace, including spaces you can “fine-tune,” biophilia beyond plants, offices-within-offices, activity-based layouts, and wellness-focused environments.
