We’re pleased to share that Alta University Place has been published in Informed Infrastructure Magazine! The LRS Multifamily Housing Studio and our collaborators at Wood Partners have been wrapping up the finishing touches on a 9-building, 274-unit apartment community in University Place, Washington that features a mix of mid-rises, garden apartments, and community amenities. Shared amenity spaces were a major priority, and our interiors team thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to infuse these spaces with color, texture, and a few whimsical “easter eggs” for those looking closely. Located just west of Tacoma, the design draws inspiration from the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, regional wildlife, and local lore about a Giant Pacific Octopus said to live beneath the bridge.
