Meet The Designer: Mary Fierros Bower

Meet Mary Fierros Bower, who is a licensed architect and senior associate. She grew up in Morro Bay, California, and received her Bachelor of Architecture at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. Joining the architectural field allowed her to support the built environment through designing beautiful and responsible architecture.

What do you like best about LRS?

Work-life balance – this has allowed me to focus on my career growth, family, and being a great mom!

What project(s) did you recently work on?

I primarily work in the Civic Studio. I recently worked on Northwest Public Utility Company – Lincoln City Resource Center. I was involved every step of the way from the site selection to construction.

What has impacted you the most in your career and how?

Being surrounded with great mentors that inspire and push me beyond my comfort zone.

What is the latest design trend you are most interested in?

Mass Timber Design as well as designing and supporting developments that have a reduced impact on our environment.

Favorite building or interiors?

Fallingwater House by Frank Lloyd Wright

Biggest professional accomplishment?

Mentoring the younger generation

What is something your co-workers or clients don’t know about you?

I love being outdoors – biking, hiking, running, gardening, outdoor concerts, the beach – you name it, and yoga for the mind, body, and soul!
