Pro Bono Highlight: Portland Food Project hits milestone of 1 million meals donated

December 16, 2024

One of the LRS team’s favorite nonprofits surpassed a significant milestone this year: the Portland Food Project (PFP) has officially donated 1 million meals’ worth of food to local pantries! Established in 2012 by a small group of neighbors in Southwest Portland, PFP has grown to include 1,600+ donor households supporting 16 pantries across the city. LRS has been proud to support PFP in various ways for a decade, hosting staff-organized food donation drives several times per year and making annual donations towards PFP operational costs. LRS’ Julio Cristian Rocha has been a PFP donor since 2013, and is currently a member of the nonprofit’s steering committee.

This month, LRS was thrilled to provide pro bono professional services to PFP to help them celebrate their 1 million meals milestone! The LRS marketing team partnered with our publicity consultants at Promova to create and distribute a press release for PFP to help to spread the word.

Congratulations to the Portland Food Project! Check out the exciting news coverage of their 1 million meals milestone below, and visit their website to learn how you can get involved.
