Meet Mike Woodbury, an architect who primarily works in the Senior Living studio. Born and raised in Oakland California, he moved to the Portland area in 2003 and then attended the University of Oregon. Currently Mike is working on both Touchmark Portland Phase 2 as well as Sky Lodge Apartments. When not working, Mike loves fitness challenges and is most likely training for the next Spartan Race. His philosophy is mind, body, and soul in alignment leads to happiness.

Favorite Building or Interiors:
The Glass House by Philip Johnson. The simplicity of the Glass House is what I love. The innovative use of materials and its seamless integration into the landscape. There are no walls, using furniture to define the “rooms.” Which is why you won’t ever find me living there….. I like a bit more privacy.
What do you like best about LRS Architects?
The people that make up LRS and the family environment that LRS has created. The Social Committee’s efforts — Thirsty Thursdays, Summer Party’s on the deck, Reach the Beach, planting trees with the Green Committee to name a few; that’s what truly sets LRS apart from other firms.
