Portland project comes with connector, published in the DJC

December 8, 2022

In an article published in the DJC on 12/7, LRS is featured for its design work on Parkview at Terwilliger Plaza. The 374,000-square-foot building is built with Passive House standards and projected to use 50 percent less energy than any current energy-compliant building. The development will also contain 127 independent living units, fill the block bounded by Southwest Fifth and Sixth avenues and Sheridan and Caruthers Street, and feature the first approved sky-bridge in Portland since 2017.

LRS partnered with Walsh Construction, who built the structure, and T-Plus Fabricators, who assembled the sky-bridge on-site. The sky-bridge weighed 100,000 pounds and required an industrial crane to hoist the connector in place. The next step for the sky-bridge will be installing the exterior undercarriage of the structure

The project is expected to finish in September 2023.
