October 3, 2023

Project Architect Kevin Schneider was a guest in the most recent FourBlock podcast episode released on 10/2. In the podcast, Kevin discussed his military background and the transferable skills he gained in the U.S. Marine Corps, his inspiration to enter the AEC industry, his architectural work, and his insights and tips for other veterans transitioning into their careers.

Kevin shared his experience about transitioning into architecture stating, “It seemed like the right move for me because [I had] experience managing construction and engineers in the Marine Corps, I had a background in design, and I had previously worked on construction and housing.”

Kevin discussed the qualities that drew him to LRS, one aspect in particular that drew him to the firm is his ability to be a ‘Jack of all trades’ in his role, stating, “I always looked for firms that had a wide variety of project types… I’m excited about the process and understanding what we need to do to achieve a goal for a client,” said Kevin. “Since I have been here, I have worked on senior housing, multifamily housing, renovations, [and] studies for master planning – a little bit of everything.”
