$4 millionThe renovation of this auto dealership for Kia in Portland’s Lloyd District was an exciting opportunity to revisit a building LRS had previously renovated over 20 years prior. The new design replaces the dated lodge aesthetic of the previous manufacturer with a sleek, modern look that exemplifies Kia’s new brand standards.
The design opens up the showroom and creates a new Service Writers area, increasing the usable square footage while maintaining the existing footprint on a tight urban site. The renovation brings more daylight to the interiors, which feature a new storefront, higher ceilings, and modern, light-colored finishes. The design also creates a new covered service drive canopy along with significant site improvements in compliance with the Lloyd District’s rigorous Land Use requirements.
